Paris-based photographer and filmmaker François Goizé honed his flair for portraits by working as an assistant director on feature films for Robert Altman, François Dupeyron, and Claude Zidi, among others. On set, he learned the tricks of staging techniques and lighting.

When he became a professional photographer, François brought his keen cinematic eye to the glamorous world of high fashion, breaking with ephemeral “scroll culture” to carve out a niche as an artist and a maker of lasting images. His ability to catch portraits of stars on the fly and his easy rapport with the subjects who sit for him give François’ images a rare sense of intimacy.

As a regular contributor to a range of leading glossies and trade publications, including French Vanity Fair, Women’s Wear Daily and Vogue.com, François has spent the past 15 years covering the most high-profile fashion and luxury events in Paris.

François published a collection of his most iconic images in his first book: the fun, Champagne-fueled “A Night on the Town in Paris” launched at Colette in Paris in January 2016.
